Ticket Cruises FAQs

Q. I’m ready to book, what’s next?

A. That’s great to hear, we can’t wait to welcome you on board. All tickets for our shared cruises can be purchased on the website; please click here for more information.

Q. Are tickets refundable?

A. Tickets for our shared party cruises are non-refundable. We may be able to transfer your tickets to another date if you wish, providing it is more than 2 weeks until the cruise and depending on availability. This will incur an admin fee of 50% of your ticket price.

Q. What’s the boat like?

A. We have 6-vessels in our fleet ranging in size; please click here for more information. Please check your ticket link as this will confirm what vessel you are booked on. We reserve the right to substitute a different vessel in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

Q. What time shall we get there?

A. The vessel will arrive at the pier 15-minutes before the event start time so don’t panic if you can’t see the boat before this time. We recommend planning to get to the pier roughly 20-30 minutes before the event start time to avoid delays.

Q. Can we dress up?

A. Yes, you can dress up for the occasion if you wish. Please be mindful of other guests and bring/wear nothing that could cause offence to other passengers, as you may be refused entry.

Q. Can I bring a cake?

A. No food or drinks are permitted on board our shared party cruises, this includes cakes.

Q. I left something on the boat after the event, how can I get this back?

A. Please get in touch with the events team and provide a description of the item you have left on board, along with the name of the vessel and the date you attended the event, and they can assist you with collecting your item(s).

Q. Can I bring decorations?

A. Unfortunately, decorations are not permitted on our shared party cruises.

Q. Are the boats heated?

A. All our vessels are closed in so you will not be affected by wind, snow or rain. All indoor areas of our vessels are heated.

Q. Can I smoke on the boat?

A. Yes, there are outdoor areas on all our vessels where smoking and vaping is permitted. Smoking and vaping is prohibited anywhere indoors on our vessels.

Q. Are the boats wheelchair accessible?

A. The Pearl of London is wheelchair accessible, unfortunately, no other vessels are wheelchair accessible. Please get in touch if you require any assistance with boarding or your cruise and we will ensure you are provided with all the support you may need.

Q. Do any of your boats have Wi-Fi?

A. Unfortunately none of our vessels have Wi-Fi.

Q. Is there a cloakroom on board?

A. There are coat hooks on most of our vessels but no cloakrooms unfortunately.

Q. Is the boat stationary, or does it move? 

A. The vessel will cruise for the duration of your party. We are unable to stop throughout your cruise unless you have pre-booked an enroute stop or in case of an emergency.

Q. What route does the boat take & what sites will I see?

A. The route is completely tide dependant and will be confirmed by the Captain on the day of the event. Rest assured; you are sure to see most, if not all of the iconic landmarks of London from the river!

Q. What is the nearest tube station?

A. This depends on the pier you are embarking at. Please check your ticket for the pier you will board at. Please always check maps and plan your journey before you travel.

Q. Where can I park?

A. This depends on the pier you are embarking at. We recommend checking maps and using parking apps to plan your journey and book your parking in advance.

Q. Is there seating?

A. All of our vessels have chairs and tables on board. Seating may be limited and usually works on a first comes first serve basis.

Q. Will I get seasick?

A. Once the vessel starts moving, we’re confident you’ll barely notice you’re on the Thames. However, if you do start feeling unwell, please let our bar team or crew know and they’ll assist.

Q. What happens if it rains?

A. If it rains during your event, to stay dry, we recommend staying inside. All vessels are fully heated indoors so you will not be affected by adverse weather.

Q. Will the cruise be cancelled in bad weather?

A. Our cruises operate regardless of the weather. Our vessels are closed in so you will not be affected by wind, snow or rain. If your event does have to be cancelled for any reason, you will be informed prior to the day of your event. The Captain will make the decision on the day if the cruise will not operate; you will be informed of your options on the day if this affects you.

Q. Are under 18’s allowed on board? 

A. Our shared party cruises are strictly over 18 or 21; this will be noted on the event page on the website.

Q. What is the dress code?

A. We recommend wearing smart/casual attire, jeans and trainers are fine.

Q. Do I need to bring ID?

A. Yes. Valid ID is required to board and purchase alcoholic drinks if you’re lucky enough to look under 25 years old. Valid forms of ID are as below:

-              Passport

-              Driving license

-              Government issued photo ID cards

-              PASS ID cards with holographic strip

We do not accept any photos of ID or any forms of identification that are out of date.

Q. Do you have enough life jackets on board?

A. Yes, all vessels have more life jackets on board than the maximum capacity.

Q. Will there be a safety announcement?

A. Yes, there is a safety announcement once all guests have boarded, before the vessel disembarks the pier.

Q. Does the bar take cash?

A. Yes, all our bars on board take cash and card.

Q. How many bars are on the boat?

A. This will depend on the boat you are booked on. We have 6-vessels in our fleet ranging in size; please click here for more information. Please check your ticket link as this will confirm what vessel you have booked for.

Q. Can I bring my own drinks?

A. No drinks are permitted on board for both private charters and shared party cruises in any circumstances. Any drinks found to have been brought on board will be confiscated. We do not allow corkage on any of our vessels.

Q. How much do drinks cost?

A. Our bars are fully licensed and are reasonably priced. All our bars have beer, cider, wine and spirits and range from £6-£8, with soft drinks ranging from £2.50-£3. Click here to see our drinks tariff. Please always remember to drink responsibly! 

Q. Can I bring my own food?

A. Food cannot be brought on board for our shared party cruises. 

Q. Are your menus nut free?

A. We do not guarantee that products are free from nuts or traces of nuts. For any special dietary requirements (gluten free, dairy free, vegan etc) please inform us at least 3 days prior to the cruise so we’re able to confirm your dietary requirements with our caterers.

Q. Can I bring my dog?

A. Only registered assistance/guidance dogs are permitted on board. Please get in touch if you are bringing an assistance dog or require further assistance so we can ensure you are provided with all the support you may need. If you are bringing your assistance dog, please ensure they relieve themselves before boarding as we are unable to make any stops for pooch potty breaks.
